CVMN Nation is a YouTube channel and lifestyle brand built around a passion for the outdoors, wilderness survival, and Christian faith. Founded by model Caleb Callahan and Daniel Dabbs of BattleBox, the channel blends practical survival education with a deeper conversation about what it means to live with purpose and conviction. It's content that speaks to a specific audience — and does so authentically.
Being a founding member of the CVMN Nation production team gave me something rare — the opportunity to watch a brand take shape from the very beginning and play an active role in building it. Across shooting, editing, and behind-the-scenes production work, I was involved at every level of getting the project off the ground.
Working alongside Daniel Dabbs was equally invaluable. With an extensive background in media production — including his Netflix original Southern Survival and his BattleBox YouTube channel, which has amassed over 800,000 subscribers — Daniel brought a wealth of real-world experience to the table. Being in that environment pushed me to sharpen my craft and think about content creation at a higher level.
Blade Show is one of the largest and most celebrated knife and blade enthusiast conventions in the world, drawing collectors, craftsmen, manufacturers, and industry figures from across the country to Atlanta, Georgia each year. It's a unique intersection of artistry and utility — where centuries-old craftsmanship meets modern innovation.
I traveled with the CVMN Nation team to Atlanta to serve as their sole camera operator, audio technician, and video editor across the entire two-day shoot. With minimal pre-set direction and significant creative freedom, I developed my own vision for how the story of the event should be told — making real-time editorial decisions throughout the production to ensure the final content was cohesive and compelling.
Over the course of two days, we accumulated roughly 18 hours of raw footage, which I edited down into 20 videos — 8 long-form pieces and 12 short-form clips. Beyond the production itself, the shoot offered incredible access to the blade world, giving me the opportunity to network with TV personalities and CEOs of leading knife and blade manufacturing companies. It was a window into a world defined by craftsmanship, passion, and precision.
