Overview

One Minute One Program spotlights a different club or program at Southeast Bulloch High School in each episode, from HOSA to the Swarm Marching Band. Each one runs about a minute and is built around short interviews with three or four students.

It grew out of two things I was doing at school. Through a work-based learning program, I was the school's graphic design and social media intern, working in the library with its social media lead. I was also in the Audio Video Technology and Film (AVTF) program, where I'd been the camera operator and lead editor on Career Ready Bulloch, a video for the district's career program. That project is what opened the door to this series.

Nobody assigned One Minute One Program. I pitched it, reached out to club leaders, set up the interviews, hosted, ran camera and audio, and edited every episode for vertical viewing. I designed the series' look too.

This is where I figured out how much I love telling stories with video, and a lot of what I still do started here.
